Massachusetts Stands Alone

New York's highest court ruled today that gay and lesbian people are not equal to their peers. In the 4 - 2 decision against equal marriage rights the court said,
"For the welfare of children, it is more important to promote stability, and to avoid instability, in opposite-sex than in same-sex relationships.”
Once again we hear the bogus argument that banning same-sex marriage is in the best interest of children. This argument not only sounds foolish, it has also been proven wrong by the nation's largest pediatricians group.
In the fight for equal marriage rights, Massachusetts continues to stand alone; a beacon of hope for gay and lesbian couples throughout the nation.
